While Vista may have been a bit too much of a memory hog for the popular ultra-portable laptop of today, it seems that Microsoft has decided to address this problem in their upcoming Windows 7 OS.

With no apps running, Windows 7 manages to use 485MB of RAM which is a huge improvement as opposed to Vista. Microsoft aims to include many Windows Surface functions for a full screen touch interface of the operating system. Unfortunately there is no date set for the release of Windows 7 but it looks as if Microsoft has learned a few things between the release of XP to the present.
